I have just loaded a whole bunch of never before seen pictures of the cruise on Lindas site. Make sure to check it out. I also fixed the upload feature so it accepts much large pictures so give that a try just in case your picture sizes were greater than 1 meg

#55 - our new family site    Date:   2003-08-09 06:48:16       Posted By:   Ken
How is everyone doing out there? I am going to start another website and make it a place where all our families can come together for everything. Can you feed me some ideas of the kinds of things you would like to see or things you would like to be able to do on the site.

    #54 -     Date:   2003-07-29 12:50:50       Posted By:   ken
I am starting to understand why our cruise went so fast.. do you realize this next group is almost 1/2 through their cruise already??!!

#48 - off again!!    Date:   2003-07-20 01:24:41       Posted By:   ken
Isn't this kind of strange to see that they have just dumped out the last set of passangers, loaded up, and are off sailing again!! I sure hope that some of the crew get a break every now and then to see their families.

#47 - wedding web cam now!    Date:   2003-07-19 01:56:58       Posted By:   ken
Hey there all, I added a wedding cam pic to the cruise details area. I wonder if we will see anyone get married this next trip.... Keep an eye out and let us know if you see anything

#46 - You should be getting different pictures.    Date:   2003-07-19 11:28:36       Posted By:   Ken
The cruise picture should update every 20 seconds in your browser. If it doesnt then make sure to hit refresh in the browser and you should be seeing something new each day. Right now (11:00 PST) they have the camera pointed at the seattle space needle. Man that last cruise went by fast also didnt it?

#45 - Sending photos    Date:   2003-07-18 07:05:10       Posted By:   Kathy
Hi Everyone, Hey Ken, I am attempting to email you my photos to post on your web site. I have enjoyed your photos and can't wait to see everyone elses! The family photo came out so nice! I could not get the camera from the front of the ship to show me anything except in port in Seattle. Thanks, Kathy

    #44 - Reminising    Date:   2003-07-17 09:55:37       Posted By:   mary
Hi Everyone! Hank, Sets and I are constantly reminising about the most awewsome time we had on the cruise. It was so wonderful for all 21 of us just to be together, see each other, eat together, laugh together, play together, etc. WHAT A WONDER- FUL IDEA IT WAS TO CRUISE TOGETHER. Thank you all for making it possible. I will remember this cruise for a long time and will enjoy the memories forever. I agree with Jamie, let's not wait another 10 years to get together. One thing that I didn't like about the cruise, is that it ended too soon. Sure wish we could have stayed on the ship another week or two. Sure enjoyed the sunny and cool weather in Alaska. It's just TOO HOT in Denver. Looking forward to the next trip. Hope you are all fine.

#43 - We had really good weather!!    Date:   2003-07-16 05:50:58       Posted By:   Ken
Hey.. if you guys are checking out the web cam you quickly realize that we had some awesome weather while we were there!! I have seen a lot of fog during this cruise. Too bad they turned off the cameras for tracey arms. Lets check it out next week and see if they leave it on. (I really doubt it since that is 2600 more people that would be able to look at it also). I am busy working on the photo section of my site to allow individuals to enter their own photos to the site. I expect to have something this weekend...

    #42 - I miss Alaska!    Date:   2003-07-16 04:43:58       Posted By:   Jamie
Ken, Thanks for such a great web site. I'm really enjoying the pictures and live cam shots. I miss Alaska! I stepped off the plane in Atlanta and was hit with the heat and humidity. Well, it's back to daily living - grocery shopping, paying bills, cleaning the house. I've been spoiled! I want to ring up the porter for some fresh towels and go down to the dining room for dinner. Wait! Now I have to do all that! Wahh... I'm so lucky to have married into such a fun family! You guys are all great and we had a wonderful time! I hope we don't have to wait another 10 years to see everyone again. Love, Jamie

#41 - sampling interval may be every 1 hour now    Date:   2003-07-16 07:22:25       Posted By:   ken
well, it appears as though they may reduce their sampling interval to once an hour as they head into tracy arms.. If so then it really wouldnt amaze me at all. I am getting the pics directly from the princess site so I can only display what they are updating. As you look at the web cam pics pay attention to the date/time displayed at the top of the page... this was changing at an interval of once every 60 seconds prior to skagway. I hope it starts running soon as they are entering tracy arms this morning in a couple hours.. Ken

#40 - Back in action    Date:   2003-07-15 11:03:26       Posted By:   ken
Well it looks like we are back in action again so make sure to use the "cruise details" menu selection to get to the live video cam tomorrow... This should be fun!!

    #39 -     Date:   2003-07-15 10:28:10       Posted By:   ken
Well everyone... It looks like the star princess turned off the live video feed as of 5:43 today. I hope that it is running again for tracy arm but if not then I will bet you money it will be running again when the are done viewing the glacier tomorrow. I hope that the camera is working again soon but if not then I just wanted you all to know that it is not my code... Ken

    #38 -     Date:   2003-07-15 08:16:12       Posted By:   Ken
Hi there Everyone.. I have just entered a bunch of pictures onto the site for everyone to look at. Please use the Cruise Details selection in the side menu bar to track the cruise boat during its voyage. Please let me know if you have any problems, especially since tomorrow the boat will be at the tracy arms..

    #37 -     Date:   2003-07-15 06:58:14       Posted By:   Kathy
Work was pretty tough for me today too! I swear I am still rocking! I had a wonderful time and it was great to see everyone and celebrate Hank & Sets 50th anniversary all together. Kato really was born to be a sled dog, just born in the wrong state. Tonight she pulled me half a block trying to chase a squirrel on the power line! Thank goodness that squirrel finally stopped! I'll try to email some pictures when I have time to figure out how to do it! Love you all! It is so nice to belong to such a fun family! Kathy

    #36 -     Date:   2003-07-14 05:10:40       Posted By:   Jamie Foster
I enjoyed meeting all of you on our cruise. I had such a good time. It still feels like I'm rocking on the boat, but I guess that will pass soon. It is neat watching from the ship's bow. I'm looking forward to seeing the glacier and ice bergs.

    #35 -     Date:   2003-07-14 02:17:24       Posted By:   Linda
I don't remember those tanks at all! It was pretty tough getting myself to work this morning, and its hot here too. And ARGHH!!! I've got to buy groceries and cook dinner??? Where's my menu with all the choices?

#34 - Web Cam    Date:   2003-07-14 12:08:57       Posted By:   Ken
Hi there everyone... Hope everyone made it home alright. Check out the website and you should see some familiar sites. I remember these holding tanks dont you? I wish they had a camera of the dock since I would be more familiar with that. Make sure to stay tuned in on Wednesday to see the glaciers, but remember there was a one hour difference from PST. You can now access the cruise site from my normal site at: http://kenskorner.org, then select Our_Cruise from the menu bar. Also select Cruise_Details from the menu bar to get day/time docking times as well as a map of where we were.. Have fun.. P.S. is it just me or does the ground feel like it is still rocking?

Please use magnets844@hotmail.com when sending me e-mails whenever I am out of town. I have a hard time retrieving my mail from cfl.rr.com . Thanks. See you all soon. Love, Mary

    #26 -     Date:   2003-06-29 10:40:52       Posted By:   Mary
Hi from the Mile High City! Yoshie and I arrived in Denver on Wednesday without any problems making the flight connection in Atlanta. The plane was pretty full tho. Yoshie is an excellent traveler, she was able to ride in the cabin with the passengers but had to stay in her carrier under the seat. Since she couldn't ook out the window she was probably bored, so she slept most of the flying time. Hurray! We are here in "cool" Denver and having a great time visiting with Hank and Sets. Had lunch with Patty last Friday. We are excited about the cruise and have our suitcases out and have started packing some warm clothes to take. It's going to be tons of fun spending time together and we are counting the days and looking forward to it. See you soon.

Being a southern-girl, no down in the closet! I'm bringing my coat with a fleece liner. Man, everytime I think I've got an idea of what to pack, something changes the plan. It sounds like its going to be colder than I thought, Brrrr. Ken - thanks for updating my email address

#24 - Cold out there    Date:   2003-06-27 08:37:52       Posted By:   Ken
whoa... check out the temperature in ketakan and skagway.. 49 and 57 degrees over there. anyone taking down coats?? I think I read the temperature right.. Man that sound cold!!

    #23 -     Date:   2003-06-27 06:52:15       Posted By:   Linda

    #21 - dress    Date:   2003-06-22 03:23:34       Posted By:   Linda
The brochure said 5-nights are smart casual and 2-nights are formal. Along with Jamie's question, I'd like to know how you all are dressing for "smart casual". Thanks!

    #20 -     Date:   2003-06-22 08:00:41       Posted By:   Jamie
How dressy are the formal nights? I understand there are two of them. Do we get really dressed up for both? I bought a formal dress (it was a good sale) and also have a cocktail dress. How do I dress the kids? Does Jimmy need a jacket and tie? Anyone know?

#19 - Digital Pics    Date:   2003-06-18 07:35:44       Posted By:   Linda
I will be taking digital photos. It doesn't matter to me if I have a separate album or we have one large album. Any need for a bathing suit? Is there a hot tub?

#18 - Digital Pics    Date:   2003-06-17 05:21:14       Posted By:   Ken
Who all can take digital pictures out there. I am trying to figure out whether I need to set this site up to accept pictures from different people in our group or whether we should group them all together into one huge photo album. Let me know if you can take digital pictures and I whether you would like your own seperate photo album space or not.

    #17 - Shorts    Date:   2003-06-15 02:22:11       Posted By:   Patty
Last time we went on the cruise we generally wore long pants. When we went eon the helicopter ride, we took our coats, gloves and hats, and it was cold. I would also recommend taking a sweater or sweatshirt as well and possibly rain gear. The kids will probably take along at least 1 pair of shorts. Only 20 days left and it is going to be great!

    #16 - shorts.    Date:   2003-06-14 08:17:09       Posted By:   Ken
    anyone taking shorts?

    #15 - Packing?    Date:   2003-06-13 05:11:18       Posted By:   Linda

#14 - Got Mail?    Date:   2003-06-10 10:37:25       Posted By:   Ken
anyone out there start packing yet? Is everyone getting these emails? Please either email back to me when you get a chance, or post a reply on the forum so I know that all email addresses are correct and up to date. Thanks

#13 - EMAIL Everyone    Date:   2003-06-04 01:45:24       Posted By:   Ken
Hi there everyone... I just got a section on the cruise site that will allow anyone to email to everyone something they would like to share. It is located int the side menu under "Mail Everyone" and should have only us cruise people in the email list. If you get this letter can you make sure to drop me a letter back so I make sure my program is working correctly. Oh yes... if you type a letter to All then it also automatically gets entered into our forum area to make doubley sure everyone gets to see it.... Enjoy

This is great having the web site. Thanks Ken. It was nice to talk to Uncle Hank tonight too. Linda, Jamie & I will be staying at the Mayflower hotel 7/4 with "little Hank's" family. I am happy Jamie was able to sign us up for the Whale watching, train and helicopter/dog sledding! Sounds like we will all have a great time! My mom really wanted to do the dog sledding and I think it will be a real interesting experience! Kato drags be around 2 miles everynight, but I don't have a sled!!
