I am Nobu Taniwaki, owner and director of Artisan Services. I am a Japanese-American, born in Colorado. I served as a Corporal in the USMC and was honorably discharged.My background has always been art related. I have been a mechanical draftsman and an illustrator for parts books and technical service manuals.

I have been in the picture framing industry for well over 15 years in all capacities of the industry including managing at the point of sale, receiving and filling orders, assisting customers with options and advice on different moulding, matboard types, glass options and archival framing options. I am a certified professional framer and have taught several classes on picture framing and related subjects.

I have been the sales representative for a large. local picture framing supplier which allowed me the insight of comparing the latest picture framing equipment against each other. Along with the ability to compare everything related in the picture framing industry, It also allowed me to see what other framing businesses were doing different to thrive or succeed.
